Upcoming Events For 2023

This year's ceremony will be held at 10am on Monday, May 30th.  Normally we assist the Town of Herndon's Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

In coordination with our local Boy Scouts, Post 1570, we will properly and reverently retire American Flags.  Post 184 completed our most recent flag retirement ceremony in January 2022.   Our next one is planned for Spring 2023.

Currently, the Veteran's Day ceremony is on schedule for Thursday, November 11th on the Town Green. 

Normally, we conduct visits by Post Legionnaires to local senior homes.  This is now postponed until further notice. For now, Post 184 is scheduled to  conduct Veteran's Day ceremonies at Harmony in Chantilly for the residents.

From time to time, we will hold a fundraiser to cover our administrative costs. It is against our policy to use funds raised specifically for veterans to be mixed with administrative funds.  But we still have to pay the bills!  If you are interested in assisting us in this effort, please contact us!
